your adult life

Introduction

I'm sure you've heard this before: life is too short to not have a purpose. But we're all busy people—we have jobs, kids, spouses, elderly parents and even pets to take care of—so having a purpose can sometimes get pushed aside in favor of more practical things. But there's one thing that everyone should do with their time on this planet: find meaning in your life!

It's not that hard to find meaning in your life. Whatever makes you happy, whatever interests you, whatever gives you that feeling of purpose and fulfillment, go and do it!

It's not that hard to find meaning in your life. Whatever makes you happy, whatever interests you, whatever gives you that feeling of purpose and fulfillment, go and do it!

There are so many things we can choose to do in our lives that will make us happy. Not only can we have a great time doing these things but they also satisfy the need for meaning in our lives.

The first step is recognizing the needs that drive us as human beings: security, belongingness (also known as love), self-esteem/status/achievement and personal growth (or learning).

You can really do whatever you want. If your life is lacking in meaning or direction, stop and think about what truly interests you and isn't too impractical for you to follow through with in the real world

One of the most freeing parts of adulthood is that you can really do whatever you want. If your life is lacking in meaning or direction, stop and think about what truly interests you and isn't too impractical for you to follow through with in the real world.

I've always dreamed of becoming a novelist and writing books that people will read, but I never pursued this dream because I thought it was too unrealistic. Now that I'm older, I know better—and now I'm going for it!

You should do whatever interests you as well—it doesn't matter what other people say about your dreams or how realistic they may seem—if something excites and intrigues you at an emotional level, then go for it! You don't have anything to lose by pursuing these passions except maybe some time...but if one thing's guaranteed in life: It's going out on top!

Use your new found freedom to help others. Communities across the country are looking for volunteers to help out with everything from soup kitchens and homeless shelters to schools and nursing homes. Helping others feels good

When you become an adult, your responsibilities will be different than those of a child. You will have the freedom to help others in ways that are meaningful to you. Your time and energy can be used in any way that brings you joy and makes a difference in your community.

You can find volunteer opportunities online at sites such as Volunteer Match or Idealist (or ask around at work or school). You might volunteer with an organization that's important to your beliefs—for example, if you're concerned about environmental issues, look for organizations like Greenpeace or Sierra Club that have a local chapter where you live. Or maybe there's something else on your mind: consider how much good could be done by volunteering at soup kitchens or homeless shelters; schools; hospitals; nursing homes; community centers; daycares; animal shelters; food banks…the list goes on!

It's never too late to have a better life

  • It's never too late to have a better life.

  • You can be a good person and make a difference in the world.

  • You can still be happy and fulfilled in your life.

  • You don't have to be perfect to do good.

Conclusion

The first few years of adulthood can be a struggle, but they're also a time for you to find yourself. You don't have to feel like you're on some sort of path toward success if you don't want to be; instead, focus on what makes life meaningful to YOU and go from there. If you're feeling lost or unsure about where your life is headed, try focusing on helping others out in need! That will give them something positive too which I think is just as important as finding meaning in yourself :)
