Whenever you have a moment, do something spontaneously.
Introduction
If you're like me, you have a tendency to overthink everything. You spend too much time trying to figure out what the right thing to do is. Trying to predict all of the possible outcomes. The result? You end up not doing anything at all! And that's no good for anyone. If we want things to happen in our lives and careers, we need to stop thinking about them so much and take action instead. So how can we just do something without thinking about it first? Three steps:
Make a decision on what it is you want to do (or not do).
Decide on a small goal (or "win"). Then write down why it matters and what your plan is for getting there — even if it's just rough sketchy ideas at this point! Once you've done that, make sure your goal aligns with who you are and what matters most in your life right now; don't just go after something because everyone else around you seems to be doing it or because they tell you what they think they should be doing based on their situation rather than yours (that's called bad advice) or if there isn't really any connection between that thing and where you want/need/should be going as an individual human being at this point in time...and don't forget about those times when people say "we should get married" or "you should move into my house" without regard for whether either party truly wants that sort of relationship at this stage of life.
Do something, without thinking about it.
We’ve all been there. We wake up in the morning and we are faced with a seemingly endless list of things to do. While this can be overwhelming at times and can often lead to anxiety, fear, and frustration—it doesn’t have to be that way! There is an easy solution: Do something different today!
Don't think too much about it—just go out into the world and act on impulse. Take a risk; be spontaneous; have fun! This is where we get better at being human for one another (and for ourselves). Don't allow yourself time to think about whether or not you should do something because if you wait until tomorrow then you'll never actually DO anything today!
And when we take action in the moment, we experience a sense of freedom! This is because we are no longer trapped inside our heads—we are living life as it happens, not just thinking about it all day.
So what can you do today? Here are some examples: -Go for a bike ride or walk in the park with your kids or friends—maybe even try rollerblading! -Go out to lunch with someone who’s been on your mind lately but hasn't had time to visit. -Write a letter to an old friend you haven't spoken with in years.
-Buy a gift for someone who has done something nice for you recently.
-Call someone who is lonely and invite them over for coffee or lunch.
-Ask someone out on a date! Don't worry about what they say because either way, you'll find out how they feel about you.
Procrastination is the great confidence killer, if you think about something for too long, you can think yourself right out of it.
In a world that's becoming increasingly saturated with distraction, it can be hard to focus on something long enough to get through the process. If you do find yourself thinking about what you want to do but not doing it, here are some tips:
Don't think too much.
Avoid distractions like social media and TV shows that pull you away from your goal.
Don't be afraid of trying something new or challenging yourself with something difficult—if this means going out of your comfort zone (which is important for success), then go for it!
Do not let fear stop you from making mistakes; mistakes are often what we learn from most in life, and your best ideas will come from experimenting with new things outside of your comfort zone—but only if you allow yourself this freedom by not letting fear hold back from doing so!
If you find yourself stuck on something, try taking a break and coming back to it later. If it is something that requires more time than what you have available, then make a note of it for the future.
Conclusion
The point here is that you need to feel confident in order to do the things you want to do. Procrastination can be a huge confidence killer and it may seem like something that doesn't happen all that often, but trust me - it's everywhere! You may even be doing it right now by reading this article instead of starting on your project. So what can we do about this problem? Well, there are basically two options: either stop procrastinating or start doing something else instead (or both!). For example, if you're stuck on something at work then leave early so that tomorrow morning when you come back with fresh eyes everything will seem easier again. Or if you're not sure what kind of career path might suit best for your personality but don't want regrets later down life road then try taking some classes at local vocational school today evening class; maybe tomorrow afternoon job interview scheduled :)
