invest in yourself
The more you invest in yourself, the more you'll be able to give back to the world and your community. When other people see how much effort you've put into making yourself better, they'll be inspired by your efforts and want to do the same for themselves. We all have so many things we want to achieve in our lives--don't let this be one of them!
Yoga
Yoga is a practice of physical, mental and spiritual discipline. It originated in ancient India and has been practiced for thousands of years. Yoga is now popular all over the world as a form of exercise that can be enjoyed by anyone at any age.
The benefits of practicing yoga include reduced stress levels, improved flexibility, strength and balance. It can also help with coordination, focus and concentration skills, which are useful for both work and play!
Read a book
Read a book.
I know it seems like a cliche answer, but there’s no better way to invest in yourself than by learning from others. Reading is one of the best ways to do that because you can acquire new information, build on your existing knowledge base, and develop different perspectives from the comfort of your own home.
One of the most important things about reading is the subject matter you choose—you should be reading books on topics which are relevant to your current situation or interests. This could be anything from personal development (self-help), business/career advancement (management), education (STEM), spirituality, health & wellness…etc., but it should also be something that will help you learn new skills or improve upon those already learned! The sky's the limit!
In addition to picking out great books for yourself as an individual investor, I would also encourage everyone here at TheInvestorBook™to take advantage of free resources available online through sites like Coursera and Udemy where they can learn some valuable skills while continuing their personal investment journey into adulthood!
Create a vision board
A vision board is a collection of images and words that represent your goals. It's an easy way to visualize what you want in life, keep track of the progress you're making toward those goals, and develop an overall sense of what makes you happy.
You can create a vision board by writing down all the things you want out of life—from career advancements to family vacations—and then cutting out pictures from magazines or online that represent these desires. You can also write down your desires on sticky notes and then paste them onto a piece of poster board or corkboard (the latter tends to be easier because it doesn't tend to warp). If you're having trouble visualizing how certain goals will play out in real life, look up stock photos online or take pictures with your phone so that when you look at them later on they'll remind you of how awesome everything will eventually be!
Write in a journal
Write in a journal.
In the modern world, we spend much of our time communicating with others through social media and other forms of technology. However, there is still nothing like writing with pen on paper (or typing on a laptop). Writing allows you to express your emotions in a way that computers cannot replicate—nor should they! There are many benefits to keeping a personal journal:
It helps you organize your thoughts so that they don't just float around in your brain, causing you stress.
It gives you perspective by allowing you to look back at what was going on in your life during previous years; this can be especially helpful if one year was particularly difficult for some reason.
It allows other people who know how important it is for us all write down our feelings and experiences so that we don't forget them over time (which happens more often than we realize).
Meditate for five minutes, then write about the experience.
Meditation is a great way to relax and get into the zone. It can also improve your focus and concentration, help you deal with stress and anxiety, help you sleep better, and even make you more creative.
Here are two simple ways that meditation can improve your life:
Meditate for five minutes at the beginning of each day (or whenever it's convenient). The goal here is not to become a monk or yogi; just do what feels right for you. Try breathing deeply while sitting on the floor or standing up straight in front of a mirror. Afterward write down how it made you feel.
Set aside time every day—even just five minutes—to meditate or practice yoga poses. Make sure there aren't any distractions like phones around so that nothing interrupts this time for yourself!
Do something creative.
There are many ways to invest in yourself and make improvements. Here’s one: do something creative.
Take a moment to reflect on the things you enjoy doing, and choose one that you can incorporate into your daily routine. Maybe it’s playing an instrument, or drawing pictures, or writing poetry—whatever it is that piques your interest when you think about it. Try turning this activity into something that becomes part of your everyday life, even if it takes some time and effort (maybe even money) at first.
Make this new habit as routine as possible—it can be helpful to do this at the same time every day if possible—so that eventually it becomes second nature. And then enjoy!
Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and relax.
“You can't do everything at once.”
It's true: if you try to do too much, it'll all fall apart. That's why I encourage my clients to stop for a moment and enjoy the cup of tea or coffee that has been brewing in the background. Let's take some time out from our busy lives, make ourselves a drink and relax for a minute. This will allow us to more effectively tackle whatever comes next on our to-do lists!
It pays to invest in YOU!

It’s time for a change. Why not make it now?
