Body Talk.

Nonverbal communication is as important as anything we could ever express vocally, in some cases even more so. We send each other all kinds of unconscious signs and signals about our attitudes and beliefs then we even realise, just from what we are doing with our bodies.

We can also often underestimate just how much our interpersonal relationships mean to us. How much more difficult our lives would be without those special people in it. The way we conduct ourselves in public and private really does affect the way are lives pan out.

Connection is a basic human need, even the most introverted of us feel the benefit of social interaction, inclusion and belonging. How well these connections work in or against our favour comes down to how we act, how we treat others and ourselves and what our body language is giving away.

Although all the confidence you will ever need is within you, outside influences will always have a bearing on our opinions of ourselves. If people are open with you, praise you, encourage you and support you it's a lot easier to be confident than if you are getting insulted, ignored, berated or rejected.

Did you know that most people who appear confident, don't actually really feel that way? Many famous actors, musicians and stand-up comics will tell you how incredibly nervous they feel before they go on stage to perform.
