A little me time, goes a long way.

I like to think of myself as a very busy person. I have a job and family, which means I am always on the go. But more importantly, I am always thinking about things that need to get done, things that happened yesterday or this morning, what is happening tomorrow? This stuff can quickly add up to a lot of stress if you let it take over your life.

I don't know about you, but these days in my busy full, of work and family life, I have all sorts of stuff going on in my head, things that must be done, things that could happen, things that did happen.

In order to clear my head and relax enough to think clearly again I like to take a little me time.

This can be anything from coloring or crafts (I love making jewelry), reading a book or watching an interesting movie or show (I love Netflix).

Taking time for yourself is important because it enables you to recharge so that you can continue being productive without burning out yourself first!

All this stuff is floating around and it can quickly add up to a lot of stress.

Stress is a killer. It can lead to poor decision making, poor work performance, poor relationships and sleep habits. All this stuff is floating around and it can quickly add up to a lot of stress.

I think one of the best ways to manage stress is to find something that you enjoy doing and do it. This could be anything from reading a book, writing or playing video games.

This is where a little me time can go a long way.

Give yourself a break

Put your feet up for a moment and take some deep breaths. Do something you enjoy, like putting on your favorite music, or curling up with a good book or movie. Taking time out each day to do something you love will make you happier and more productive—not to mention that it's good for your health too!

It does not take much time for me to clear my head and feel back to normal. 15-20 mins is plenty for me to get back on track.

It can be difficult to find time for yourself in the midst of a busy schedule. Whether you are working full-time outside of the home, or have kids and a spouse at home, it can feel like there is never enough time in the day. It may seem impossible to carve out any space for yourself in your daily routine, but taking a few minutes here and there will do wonders for your mental health!

The benefits of taking time for yourself are numerous:

  • You will feel better about yourself overall when you make this a priority.

  • Taking care of yourself makes you more productive during all other aspects of your life. This means getting more done at work and having more energy after work too!

  • Time spent meditating or exercising helps clear your head so that when it comes time to tackle other tasks at hand, they are easier because your brain isn't still processing stressful thoughts from earlier that day (or week).

Conclusion

It’s time to take care of yourself. It’s time to give yourself a little me time. You deserve it, and you can feel good knowing that self-care isn’t selfish or indulgent at all. In fact, it can be downright beneficial for your wellbeing—and there are plenty of ways to do so!

Take a bath, read a book (or two), listen to music or meditate—whatever makes you feel better is totally fine. The more often we do this kind of thing (even if it's something small like taking a few minutes off from work so you aren't distracted by thoughts about your job), the happier we'll be in the long run because we're more likely avoid burnout! And when people don't burn out as much anymore...well then I guess that means everyone wins?
